RECASE at the trade fair Husum Wind 2017

From September 12th to 15th the trade fair “Husum Wind” will take place. Professional visitors, interested individuals and friends from all fields of wind energy and of other applications of regenerative energies are very welcome to visit the RECASE booth B24 in hall 1.

RECASE will present services in terms of engineering, consulting and project management for operators, service providers, manufacturers, developers and component suppliers for on- and offshore wind turbines and projects.
In this way, manufacturers and service providers will be informed about our engineering services in the equipment design and the support of complex technical projects which are performed by RECASE engineers.

For customers of the offshore sector, we will present our Interface Engineering, e.g. for the development of the electrical system for the transition piece and the interface to the wind turbine.
Together with the booth neighbour “AIRWIN GmbH” we will present approaches and concepts for the qualified analysis of operating data and for the quality assurance of the maintenance contracts and technical management of wind energy plants.

At the joint booth of Watt_2.0 (booth B22, hall 5), the network meeting of member companies in the matter of renewable energy supply, RECASE will also be represented. There you will find that our focus this year is the concepts for the Post-EEG remuneration of wind energy on the German market – e.g. in self-supply concepts, as potential sales models for wind energy after the expiry of the EEG remuneration.

We are looking forward to your visit at our booth 1B24 or at the joint booth 5B22 of Watt_2.0.

- Yours RECASE Team -

P.S.: On Wednesday, 13.09.2017 from 4:30 p.m., welcoming drinks will be held offering a glass of beer, wine or champagne at the RECASE & AIRWIN booth. We will be very happy if a lot of people will come so we don’t have to take lots of beverages back home!

RECASE tests the prototype plant at CWD Aachen

RECASE Regenerative Energien GmbH performed the full-scale test of a two-bladed SCD 3 MW at the Centre for Wind Power Drives (CWD) of the RWTH Aachen on behalf of the company aerodyn engineering GmbH.

The tested wind turbine prototype was developed by aerodyn on behalf of the Japanese government and will be tested as a demonstrator on a floating foundation from summer 2018 on at the offshore test field of Kitakyūshū in the south of Japan.

RECASE has been commissioned to support the development of the electro-technical design of the wind turbine and to test the constructed prototype before it will be transported to Japan within a 3-week large-scale test in cooperation with the RWTH Aachen.

The state-of-the-art test bench of the CWD provides all options to study the mechanical, electrical and thermal behaviour of a newly developed wind turbine at different wind loads.  With the help of power units of 4 MW loads, which are similar to those of the real wind field, will be applied to the powertrain of the wind turbine, at which any load cases are simulated and measurement series can undergo. Furthermore, the test bench of the CWD allows to perform market-specific tests for grid requirements (e.g. Fault Ride Through Tests), which can even be used for certification purposes.

Jörg Zeumer, Project Engineer and Project Manager of the company RECASE for the prototype test at the CWD: “The conditions provided at the CWD are great. Measurement campaigns, which would require several months if we needed to perform them on the field, can be performed very compressed and sometimes within a few hours.”

The results of the prototype plant of the Company aerodyn on the test bench were positive all the way through. All set test requirements could be fulfilled or partially even surpassed. After the successful test, the plant is now on its way to Japan.

RECASE has been awarded an important subcontract for Trianel Windpark Borkum II

RECASE Regenerative Energien GmbH provides electrical engineering for the transition piece equipment as subcontractor for Seaway Heavy Lifting during the design phase for “Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum II GmbH & Co. KG.”

RECASE’s client Seaway Heavy Lifting is responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of the turbine foundations for the Trianel Windpark Borkum II wind farm on the German continental shelf.

RECASE will supply the electrical design for the electrical equipment of the E-Module in the transition piece of the monopile structure. The comprehensive subsystem engineering ranges from the medium voltage switch gear, via sea markings to the wind turbine interface.

Lorenz-H. Carstensen, Managing Director of RECASE pointed out: “The electrical outfit of offshore substructures matches 100% with our expertise, experience and capacity. This contract is an excellent example where RECASE demonstrates its capability to deliver comprehensive and smart system design.“

The Trianel Windpark Borkum II will be installed 45 kilometers north of the island Borkum in the German Bight, as the extension stage of the Trianel  Windpark Borkum I, which started commercial operation in Q3 2015. The offshore project shall consist of 32 turbines from the Senvion 6M/152 series. After the planned completion in autumn 2019, the offshore wind farm will have an installed capacity of approximately 203 megawatts (MW).

RECASE draws a positive conclusion of the New Energy 2017

As in the previous year, RECASE has again participated in the watt_2.0 industry get-together at the New Energy in 2017. During the four days of the trade fair from March 16th to 19th, RECASE presented its new service portfolio around the development and implementation of self-sufficient concepts based on renewable energies, of electromobility and charging infrastructure concepts as well as of systems for the so-called ‘energy monitoring’.
Both private visitors and the specialist audience were particularly interested in the visualisation of energy processes and the development of a database supported energy monitoring for local and regional energy systems.

The New Energy, being recognised for its quality again proved among others by the top-class watt_2.0 Forum engaged with speakers such as Hans Joseph Fell, Dr. Meeno Schrader or Dr. Nina Scheer and by the FURGY Clean Innovation congress. Later on, it became apparent that the trade fair has been visited by private persons as well as by specialist audience which reflected in numerous targeted and fruitful discussions.

As part of the election year 2017, the New Energy was also in the focus of the political interest. Therefore, numerous political representatives (e.g. the federal Environmental Minister Hendricks, the Schleswig-Holstein Prime Minister Albig or the Schleswig-Holstein Environmental Minister Habeck) made use of the New Energy as a discussion platform for the topics energy revolution and Integrated Energy as well as for a lively exchange with the industry for renewable energies.

RECASE is glad about the success at the New Energy 2017 and is looking forward to participate in the watt_2.0 industry get-together again next year.

RECASE Trade fair booth at the New Energy 2017

On the basis of the good experiences in the recent years, RECASE will again be present at the New Energy 2017 on the dates of 16th-19th March in Husum. The thematic focuses for RECASE in Husum will be concepts of private consumption on the basis of renewable energies and e-mobility. During the trade fair, the visitors of the RECASE booth will learn, how the development of implementable concepts can be performed taking the following planning steps into consideration:

  • technical-legal requirement management
  • energy demand-based system design
  • customer-oriented feasibility studies
  • targeted implementation planning

Also this year, RECASE will again contribute specialist lectures about the above mentioned topics, the visitors are invited to attend to:

  • Thu., 16th March, 4 p.m.: “Der Weg zum E-Mobilitätskonzept"
  • Fri.,17th March, 11 a.m.: “Eigenverbrauchskonzepte – Mit Planung zum Erfolg”

This year, RECASE will be joining the exhibition with its cooperation partner ALTEC Energie. This will give the opportunity to present other topics around the private consumption such as renewable energy supply concepts for multi party houses, storage technologies or concepts for the further operation of old wind turbines to the visitors.

The trade fair booths of RECASE and ALTEC Energie are addressed to everybody who is interested in private consumption and e-mobility; but in particular to business enterprises and farms, housing corporations, tourism associations and municipalities.

You will find us at the trade fair booths 1Watt15 (ALTEC) and 1Watt16 (RECASE). We are looking forward to your visit!
